At the official opening ceremony of Prodexpo-2024, which will take place today, on February 5, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of WTC PJSC, President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergei Katyrin will speak. In his greeting to the exhibition participants, Sergei Katyrin emphasized that the thematic sections of the exhibition, held under the patronage of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, reflect the entire range of domestic and foreign food products, drinks, advanced production technologies in the food industry, innovative packaging materials and the latest logistics solutions. And the number of participants from various regions of Russia, demonstrating success in import substitution and prospects for the development of the food market, is constantly increasing.
Prodexpo presents food from all over the world: from basic foods and drinks for every day to gourmet delicacies, as well as organic, sports nutrition, halal, kosher, and exotic products. This exhibition alone brings together Russia’s largest exposition of alcoholic beverages and wines from more than 30 countries.
A number of manufacturers are launching new products and brands to coincide with Prodexpo. Every year, about 14% of new products are presented at the exhibition. The organizers claim that Prodexpo is building the business of the Russian food market. Every year, the exhibition brings together manufacturers, strategic customers of the food industry in Russia and the EAEU - buyers of federal and local chains and representatives of HoReCa (ab. In 2023, 2,032 companies took part in Prodexpo, including 1,565 Russian and 467 foreign. The event was attended by representatives of 35 participating countries, presenting 48 collective regional expositions and 12 national foreign ones. In total, the event was attended by more than 67 thousand people.
